Along with searching for a house comes searching for mortgage information. I’ve played with calculators to find out what our payment would be at various percentage rates and at different years. I never looked for interest only information because we were never interested.

Check out this site for twelve different mortgage calculators. They also have articles and a mortgage glossary. I played with the pay down debt or invest calculator to see what the difference was. The calculators are very easy to use – plug in your numbers and the total (or totals) update in real time. A change of another number and the totals change automatically.

I was lucky to have a mortgage broker who took the time to explain every detail of our mortgage to me. She was fantastic! But I know that others don’t have that same experience and I hope that site can help.
