Grocery Spending Update 1
I for the first time this month went grocery shopping over the weekend. I went with a list though I did buy extras. My extras included sale items only though so that’s okay. I ended up spending $320 (including tip). I was so excited to get the bill – mostly because I had two carts that were basically both full.
They were out of the milk we usually buy, as well as the burger. But I got everything else on our list, including a few household items like toothpaste and shampoo.
I only used one coupon that I happened to grab off of the shelf. But going with a list definitely helps me. I was starting to get hungry (note to self – take a snack to eat on the way there) but was paying close attention to this and didn’t buy extra food I wouldn’t have otherwise.
We’ll need milk probably by the weekend, but have other meat so the burger isn’t that big of a deal. The payday this month is wacky so we still have two weeks from today until next payday. I still have $80 for groceries from the budget, so we are good to go.
