I had an ultrasound recently and have been recategorized as a high risk pregnancy because the baby is measuring small. The measurements are anywhere from two to four weeks off from what I am supposed to be. Everything else looked fine – brain, heart, cord, etc. But I have to be transferred to a different hospital because my current one does not have anyone capable to handle a high risk pregnancy.

I was told I should be seen within the next week and the new doctor will most likely do another ultrasound first thing. I’m not an anxious as I was when the news was first told to us but I admit I wish I got the phone call telling me when my next appointment would be.

We are lucky to have the health insurance that we do. Everything will continue to be covered. If the new doctors say nothing is wrong I will be able to be transferred back to my regular doctor.
