A Lesson in Renting
Since we have decided to rent our home out ourselves, we have also taken on the responsibility to keep in contact with the tenant. That’s not a problem as myself and the woman living there are friends. Her husband is also in the military and we know how long they will be in the area.
We emailed each other fairly regularly and the latest email included a laundry list of plumbing issues that need to be taken care of. Luckily nothing on the list has to be done right now or is an emergency, but starting next week I am going to call around to find someone to fix the issues.
Lesson learned here ~ keep a list of plumbers, handymen, etc who you know and trust who can do the work for you. Have cash saved for if and when such problems come up.
